Good great egret news

This 2016 video from the USA is called The Great Egret During Nesting Season.

The Dutch SOVON ornithologists report today that in 2016 about 300 great egret couples have nested in the Netherlands.

That is a record number. In 1998, only one great egret couple nested in the Netherlands.

The biggest great egret colonies are in the Oostvaardersplassen, Lepelaarsplassen and Makkumer Noordwaard nature reserves.
